About Graham

Graham's practice focuses on real property transactions, developments and financing, general corporate and commercial matters, infrastructure and public-private partnerships. He has experience advising vendors, purchasers, developers and proponents concerning a wide range of corporate matters, development projects and commercial transactions.

Graham has advised clients in a variety of industries, including seniors' care, gaming, mining, engineering, construction, hotels, shopping centres, office towers, energy, resort and hospitality, commercial real estate development and financial institutions.

In 2018, Graham completed a six-month secondment with a large Canadian real estate investment, development and management company where he worked on a number of international investment projects as well as a range of in-house matters.

Corporate/Commercial:

  • Advising a hotel chain in the sale of its brand and business in a transaction valued at C$168-million

  • Advising landlords and tenants in the leasing of commercial properties

  • Advising numerous land developers in the development of land parcels for a mixed-use commercial and residential development

  • Advising lenders and borrowers in financing real estate developments

  • Advising vendors and purchasers in the sale of commercial real estate

  • Advising a US purchaser in the acquisition and leaseback of a portfolio of commercial properties across Canada

  • Advising a purchaser in the acquisition of a large portfolio of seniors' homes across Canada

  • Advising a purchaser in the acquisition of a large ski resort in Canada

Infrastructure:

  • Advising a consortium in achieving financial close on two projects valued at C$635-million to design, build, finance, operate and maintain 18 elementary schools and 9 joint-use facilities in Saskatchewan

  • Advising a consortium in achieving financial close on a C$751-million contract to design, build, finance, operate and maintain a hospital in the Northwest Territories

  • Advising a consortium in achieving financial close on a C$1.1-billion contract to design, build, finance, operate and maintain a hydroelectric generating station in British Columbia

  • Advising lenders in relation to a secondary market transaction involving the sale of equity interests in a portfolio of Canadian P3 projects
