Katie joined Blakes as a summer student in 2019 and completed her articles with the Firm in 2021-2022. During her articles, she completed a secondment in the legal department of a major Canadian bank.

  • Definity Financial Corporation and McDougall Insurance Brokers Limited on its acquisition of Drayden Insurance Ltd., a leading property and casualty insurer

  • Dar Group on its acquisition of CopperTree Analytics

  • HUB International Limited on its acquisition of the BridgeForce Financial Group

  • Ancala Partners on its acquisition of a majority interest in Noventa Energy Partners and related project financing
