About Humna

Humna assists clients with a broad range of environmental and regulatory matters, including compliance, risk management, and regulatory strategy. She frequently assists clients in understanding and complying with their obligations under various federal chemical reporting regimes (i.e., plastics and PFAS), as well as provincial and territorial extended producer responsibility (EPR) legislation. Humna has also advised on pesticide management, environmental importation requirements, renewable energy approvals, and mining-related regulatory matters. She also regularly advises on the environmental aspects of corporate and commercial transactions.

Professional Activities

Humna is a member of The Advocates' Society, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Environmental Law Section of the Ontario Bar Association. Humna volunteers with non-profit organizations such as Pro Bono Ontario and is an executive chair for the Toronto branch of the Women's Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF). Humna also serves as a board member of DoubleXHealth Collective.
