About Jeffrey
With over 15 years of experience, Jeffrey specializes in the taxation of investment funds and financial services. He advises clients on diverse asset management structures, including mutual funds, ETFs, pooled funds and pension funds. He also offers taxation expertise related to private equity, banking, capital markets and pension fund investment. In addition, Jeff has extensive experience guiding clients through tax dispute resolution and managing complex income tax planning strategies.
Before joining Blakes, Jeff was a partner at the legal affiliate of a global accounting firm and served as in-house counsel at one of Canada's largest banks.
Outside his legal practice, Jeff is an accomplished, competitive racing sailor with multiple Canadian and North American victories, notably securing class wins in the prestigious Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac and Bayview Mackinac Race.
