Tricia advises Canadian and international businesses in the pharmaceutical, biotech, cannabis, food & beverage and cosmetic industries on corporate and commercial transactions, equity investments, joint ventures, intellectual property, licensing and ownership agreements, the acquisition and divestiture of products or technologies and regulatory issues relating to Health Canada requirements, data protection, privacy and anti-spam matters.
As the lead of the Cannabis group in the Montréal office, Tricia advises clients in the medical and recreational cannabis industry, including licensed producers, processors, applicants, investors, research teams, product developers, online publishers and equipment manufacturers, on a variety of regulatory, corporate and commercial matters ranging from processing, licensing and import/export arrangements, manufacturing and supply deals and marketing guidelines and restrictions to shareholder and partnership agreements.
Seconded on three occasions to large pharmaceutical companies in Montréal earlier in her career, Tricia has in-depth experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including negotiation and drafting of clinical trial, research, manufacturing, quality assurance and intellectual property assignment, transfer, license and commercialization agreements.
Prior to joining Blakes, Tricia was in-house counsel to a computer software company and a biotechnology company, both formerly publicly listed in France.
Tricia is fluent in English and in French and is both a Canadian and French Citizen.
