About Kendra

Kendra's practice focuses on complex intellectual property disputes, with a particular emphasis on patent litigation. She advises on patented medicines (Notice of Compliance), oil & gas, and technology patent validity and infringement actions, as well as internet piracy and copyright matters.

Kendra has represented leading pharmaceutical, energy. and technology companies in high-stakes patent infringement and impeachment actions and successfully acted for ISPs in groundbreaking Notice & Notice Regime cases. She has gained extensive trial and appellate litigation experience, appearing as counsel before both the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal.

Patent Litigation

  • Farmers Edge in a patent infringement and impeachment action involving its FarmCommand data platform and CanPlug IoT device (2024 FC 934; 2025 FCA 134). Farmers Edge secured over C$4-million in costs for the successful defence of the action (2024 FC 1887)

  • MEG Energy in a patent infringement action concerning SAGD and eMSAGP operations at its Christina Lake facilities (2021 FC 10; 2021 FC 198; 2022 FCA 118)

  • Allergan in a patent dispute concerning RAPAFLO® (silodosin) (2020 FC 1189)

  • Aux Sable in a patent impeachment action related to the transportation of natural gas in the Alliance Pipeline (2019 FC 581)

Copyright Litigation

  • Interveners in the appeal of Canada's first site-blocking order granted by the Federal Court (2021 FCA 100)

Kendra also volunteers with the Pro Bono Ontario Free Legal Advice Hotline.
