About Kendra

Kendra's practice focuses on complex intellectual property disputes, with an emphasis on patent litigation and copyright disputes. She has represented large pharmaceutical, telecommunications, energy and technology companies in patent infringement and impeachment actions and has appeared as counsel before the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal.

Recent notable matters include representing:

  • Multinational pharmaceutical companies in Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) proceedings

  • Oil & gas and technology companies in patent impeachment and infringement actions and appeals

  • Internet service providers in first impression disputes about interpreting the Copyright Act Notice & Notice Regime

  • A major technology company resisting disclosure of the personal information of thousands of its customers

Professional Activities

Kendra is a member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, The Advocates' Society and the Canadian Bar Association, and an elected member-at-large of the OBA Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law Section Executive.

Kendra also volunteers with the Pro Bono Ontario Free Legal Advice Hotline.
