About Konrad

Konrad maintains a broad civil and commercial litigation practice. He has experience in complex contractual disputes, commercial arbitrations, and judicial reviews. Konrad also advises clients on a range of privacy matters, including responding to data breaches and access-to-information requests. He has appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the British Columbia Court of Appeal and the Federal Court of Canada, and has acted as counsel in matters before the International Chamber of Commerce.

Konrad joined Blakes as a summer student in 2021 and completed his articles with the Firm in 2022. He speaks English and is proficient in Polish.

Select Experience

Konrad's recent representative experience includes:

  • Counsel to a Canadian company in an ICC arbitration against an international counterparty regarding an aircraft work contract dispute

  • Counsel to an owner defending a C$1.25-billion ICC arbitration claim regarding construction of energy infrastructure

  • Counsel to the Canadian subsidiary of a multinational seafood company facing the shutdown of numerous facilities following its denial of license renewals

  • Advising local and national organizations in preparation of and response to access-to-information requests, data breaches and cybersecurity incidents

  • Participating in class action defence teams in product liability and pharmaceutical matters

Konrad is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, the Vancouver Bar Association and The Advocates' Society.
