About Kurt
Kurt is an Associate in the Blakes Restructuring & Insolvency group, which is widely recognized as one of Canada's leading restructuring practices. Kurt maintains a broad practice, covering all aspects of restructuring and insolvency law. He represents debtors, creditors, monitors, receivers, and others in both formal insolvency proceedings and out-of-court restructurings.
Prior to joining Blakes, Kurt spent several years in various corporate leadership roles, where he managed multimillion-dollar sales portfolios and large-scale business initiatives. That experience gives him a practical understanding of business operations, allowing him to look beyond the legal issues to give advice that is grounded and realistic.
