Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Capital Power on its C$340-million sale of a 49% interest in a 246 MW wind portfolio consisting to Axium Infrastructure, consisting of Quality Wind facility in British Columbia and Port Dover and Nanticoke Wind facility in Ontario

  • Enbridge on its acquisition of a 24.45% interest in German offshore wind farms Hohe See and Albatross from CPPIB with an aggregate deal value of €625-million

  • Parkland Corporation on its C$115-million sale of its Canadian commercial propane business to Avenir Energy Ltd. and to its exclusive agreement to supply propane to Avenir Energy Ltd.

  • Parkland Corporation on its acquisition of 163 Husky and Esso retail locations across Canada

  • Enbridge on the sale of a 49% interest in a portfolio of offshore French windfarms to CPPIB

Project Development

  • Various proponents in connection with commercial agreements involving Indigenous groups, including joint venture, partnership, funding and impact benefit agreements

  • Various proponents in connection with the IESO’s Expended Long-Term, Long-Term 1 and Long-Term 2 procurements, including with respect to battery energy storage systems and natural gas projects

  • Enbridge in connection with the strategic restructuring of Maple Power Ltd., a joint-venture vehicle between Enbridge and CPPIB, focused on developing and constructing offshore wind projects in France

  • Atura Power with respect to its 250 MW battery energy storage project, including with respect to joint venture structuring, financing, construction and regulatory matters
