Liliane practises corporate and commercial law in the Technology group, with a focus on regulatory compliance, communications law, privacy and cybersecurity.
Liliane provides advice to payment service providers and money services businesses on regulatory compliance with respect to payment systems obligations, retail payments legislation and associated consumer protection requirements, as well as anti-money laundering.
In her communications practice, Liliane advises broadcasting and social media companies in connection with their Canadian regulatory obligations. Liliane supports her clients in navigating this rapidly evolving space, with a focus on the amended Broadcasting Act proceedings. She also provides advice on obligations with respect to online news and content moderation.
Liliane's cybersecurity practice is comprised of incident response advice following a cybersecurity breach, privacy and regulatory notifications, and proactive cyber risk assessment.
Liliane also advises clients in the context of corporate transactions in the technology sector by conducting due diligence, drafting transaction documents and coordinating the closing process.
