About Michelle

Michelle's practice focuses primarily on debt financing transactions, acting for both lenders and borrowers in domestic and international financing transactions. She has considerable experience in structuring and documenting bilateral and syndicated loans, capital call credit facilities, letter of credit facilities, acquisition financings, asset-based financings, high-yield offerings, and subordinated debt arrangements.

Michelle has advised clients across a wide range of industries and sectors, including agriculture, automotive, financial services, food services, mining, retail, technology, and telecommunications.

Recent representative transactions include advising:

  • A manufacturing company in connection with a senior credit facility and a subordinated notes offering

  • A marketing and manufacturer of various foods in connection with a US$1.75-billion unsecured revolving credit facility

  • A syndicate of lenders in connection with a US$4.0-billion credit facility provided to a mining company

  • Aareal Bank AG in connection with a syndicated financing for a group of Canadian hotels

  • Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (Canada) in connection with a number of letter of credit facilities in favour of Canadian mining companies

  • The Bank of Nova Scotia in connection with senior secured credit facilities in favour of Tahoe Resources Inc.
