Lauren joined Blakes after completing her second year of law at the University of Calgary. Prior to attending law school, Lauren completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Calgary.

During law school, Lauren served as the Vice President of Marketing and Communication for the Indigenous Law Student Association. She has also volunteered for the Pro Bono Student Canada and as the Chair of Sponsorships for the University of Calgary Law Golf Tournament. Lauren is also the current President of the Spread the Love Club at the University of Calgary, which is a club aimed at tackling homelessness through hands-on action.

In her spare time Lauren can be found playing ringette and soccer or running the occasional marathon. She enjoys spending time with her puppy, friends and family, going to pilates and golfing.
