About Laurianne

Laurianne practises civil and commercial law, with a particular focus on contract litigation, class actions, construction law, product liability and consumer law. She also advises clients on administrative law issues.

Her practice covers all aspects of litigation, including providing clients with strategic advice, drafting legal opinions, preventing disputes and representing clients before courts at all levels.

Prior to joining Blakes, Laurianne was an associate in the litigation group of an international law firm in Montréal.

Laurianne is fluent in English and French.

Laurianne has advised clients on a wide range of matters, including:

  • A healthcare business with respect to an application for judicial review involving Quebec’s Autorité des marchés publics and a lawsuit alleging non-compliance in connection with a call for tenders

  • A newspaper and its journalists in connection with a defamation action and allegations of professional misconduct

  • An e-commerce company in a privacy class action following a cybersecurity incident

  • A Canadian copyright collective society in a class action regarding methods used for calculating royalties

  • A real estate developer in connection with disputes arising from the purchase and revival of a resort

Professional Activities

Laurianne serves on the board of directors of YWCA Montréal and the Fondation du Pensionnat du Saint-Nom-de-Marie.
