About Myim

Myim maintains a broad litigation and dispute resolution practice with a focus on complex corporate and commercial matters, including insolvency, financial restructuring and administrative law. He regularly advises clients in high-stakes disputes involving contractual and administrative issues across diverse industries.

Myim has been involved in proceedings before all levels of court in British Columbia, as well as before arbitral and administrative tribunals, and the Supreme Court of Canada. His work has supported favourable outcomes that align with and protect his clients' long-term business and personal objectives.

Before joining Blakes, Myim served as a judicial law clerk to several justices of the Supreme Court of British Columbia, including Chief Justice Christopher Hinkson.

Myim's recent experience includes, without limitation, acting as counsel for:

  • A chartered bank in multiple proceedings to appoint receivers and managers over secured assets

  • A claimant, as lead counsel, in a trial regarding certain monies owed under a contract

  • A franchisor in leave proceedings before the Supreme Court of Canada

  • Multiple clients in the context of CCAA reorganizations

  • Multiple trustees in bankruptcy in proceedings before the trial court

  • A plaintiff in judgment renewal proceedings

Professional Activities

Myim is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, the Vancouver Bar Association and The Advocates' Society. He enjoys providing pro bono legal services to individuals in British Columbia.
