About Alyssa

Alyssa's practice focuses on public procurement, infrastructure, public-private partnerships (P3s) and construction law. She regularly advises clients on the development, preparation and ongoing administration of public tenders and procurement processes, the development of template procurement documents and implementation toolkits, the development and negotiation of commercial agreements for goods and services across a range of sectors, and the development and negotiation of commercial agreements for the design, construction, financing and maintenance of infrastructure.

Alyssa acts for clients in a wide range of sectors, including transit and transportation, civil infrastructure, roads and bridges, water and wastewater, health-care services, information technology, gaming, energy and mining. She also regularly acts for both procuring entities and bidders with respect to conducting a successful procurement process, fairness issues, mitigating procurement risk and avoiding compliance issues.

In particular, Alyssa has extensive expertise in the procurement of mega infrastructure development projects and alternative finance and procurement projects across multiple jurisdictions and has been at the forefront of many municipal PPP projects across Canada.

Alyssa also regularly advises clients on a variety of commercial agreements across a range of sectors for goods, services and construction.

Professional Activities

Alyssa is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association and the Law Society of Ontario. She has an active pro bono practice and is currently a member of the board of directors of Youth Without Shelter, which operates an emergency residence in Etobicoke providing shelter and support programs for homeless youth aged 16-24.
