Professional Activities

Jeffrey previously served as chair of the National Taxation Section of the Canadian Bar Association, and co-chair of the Joint Committee on Taxation of the Canadian Bar Association and Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. He is also co-chair of the Fiscal and Tax Competitiveness Council of the C.D. Howe Institute, an advisor to the Board of Governors of the Canadian Tax Foundation, and the editor of the publication Perspectives on Tax Law & Policy. Jeffrey has served as a member of the Research Committee of the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Planning Committees for the Canadian Tax Foundation's September 2017 Policy Conference on Taxation of Private Corporations and the November 2017 Annual Conference of the Canadian Tax Foundation. Since 2015, he has co-chaired the Senior Tax Practitioner's Institute, an invitation-only meeting of the leading senior tax practitioners in Canada, held annually in Cambridge, Ontario.

Jeffrey writes, teaches and speaks frequently for several organizations, including the Canadian Tax Foundation, the International Fiscal Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall Law School.
