About Ping

Ping's practice focuses primarily on debt financing, corporate finance and related transactions. He acts for financial institutions, public companies and private issuers in connection with secured and unsecured financings (bilateral and syndicated), project financings, asset-based lending transactions and cross-border transactions.

Representative experience includes advising:

  • GCT Global Container Terminals Inc., the operator of major container terminals, in connection with its C$1.09-billion refinancing comprised of senior secured credit facilities and senior secured notes

  • Capstone Mining Corp. on refinancing its C$600-million secured revolving credit facility

  • A U.S. lender in connection with its senior C$498-million commercial real estate loan to a Canadian borrower

  • The Bank of Nova Scotia as agent and lead arranger of a US$440-million syndicated financing to a large greenhouse operator

  • Seabridge Gold Inc. in connection with its US$225-million note to Sprott Resources and Ontario Teachers Pension Plan which is convertible into a silver royalty

  • A large Canadian financial institution as agent and lead arranger of a C$155-million syndicated financing to a leading Canadian truck leasing operation

  • The lenders to a professional sports franchise

  • The lenders to a private utility company for the structuring of new revolving and acquisition facilities in connection with its acquisition of a long-term concession from a major U.S. university and its pending acquisition of a large water and waste-water utilities business operating in 17 states in the U.S.

  • The lenders in connection with the establishment of a construction facility for a large, mixed-use retail, commercial and residential development, including a 35-storey condo tower

  • Ero Copper in connection with US$130-million credit facilities used to, among other things, refinance existing senior secured debt

  • The lenders in connection with acquisition financing for recent acquisitions, including private equity private-equity-sponsored acquisitions, of businesses in the mining, forestry, marine equipment, health and fitness, recreational, parking, sanitation and janitorial, and light industrial manufacturing industries in Canada and the U.S.
