Nathan's practice focuses on commercial transactions, project development and energy-related matters, including purchase and sale agreements, joint venture and partnership agreements, natural gas purchase and sale agreements, EPC and supply chain agreements, project development, pipeline transportation and storage agreements, and midstream service agreements.

Nathan worked in the energy, resources and projects group at a large national firm in Brisbane, Australia, where he developed experience in the coal industry, including purchase and sale of mining interests, project development, electricity purchase and sale, legal matters relating to port and rail access, and foreign investment in Australia.

Prior to joining Blakes, Nathan held a key role on a legacy infrastructure mega project where he was a member of the leadership team for the Trans Mountain expansion project responsible for project legal agreements, land and permits acquisitions, and third party and municipal consents. In addition, he was the primary project interface with provincial regulators and senior officials.
