The Blakes Construction Dispute Resolution group is pleased to present the second session in our four-part seminar series about how parties in a construction project can protect themselves.
This session will focus on the ever-evolving law of good faith in construction projects. This is an important issue, particularly in the context of contract termination. Construction contracts are entered into with the hope that all will go according to plan, and the contract will be successfully completed. Unfortunately, there are instances in which a contract will need to be terminated.
In this presentation, we will provide an overview of the principles and duties of good faith in contract law, discuss the basics in the termination of a construction contract and how to ensure you act in good faith, and provide our perspective about risks in termination and how to mitigate them.
Stay tuned for invitations for the remaining sessions in this series. While we encourage you to attend all sessions, full participation is not required. Please note that these programs will be delivered in English and are available in person only.
