About Anna

Anna advises provincially and federally regulated employers on a broad spectrum of employment, human rights and regulatory matters. She provides practical advice to employers on all areas of employment law, including pre-employment and hiring issues, employment agreements, wrongful dismissal, workplace violence and harassment, privacy, human rights, performance management, accessibility, and occupational health and safety. She also develops policies and procedures and conducts training for employers in various areas of employment and occupational health and safety law.

Anna has developed an expertise in assisting and defending clients in occupational health and safety regulatory and criminal prosecutions. She also has experience in employment-related class actions. She has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of Canada and various administrative tribunals.

Prior to joining Blakes, Anna worked as employment counsel at a Canadian financial institution and as an associate at another large national law firm.
