About Daryl
Daryl provides timely and practical advice to employers, including major corporations across numerous industries, on all areas of labour and employment law, with an emphasis on labour/union relations, occupational health and safety, workers' compensation, employment standards, human rights, hiring practices, executive compensation, disciplinary matters, wrongful dismissal, and other employment-related mediation, arbitration and litigation.
Daryl's labour relations practice includes advising and strategizing with clients in responding to union certification applications, sale of business/related employer applications, and unfair labour practice complaints. He also regularly advises and represents employers in grievance arbitrations, collective agreement negotiations, and labour law compliance initiatives/best practices.
Daryl also advises on all labour and employment aspects of corporate/commercial transactions, including specialized advice on complex labour/union and employee matters arising during transactions. He has represented clients before numerous courts and tribunals including the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Divisional Court, and the Ontario Court of Justice.
Daryl is the Legal Adviser to the Firm's Joint Health & Safety Committee in its Toronto office.
