About Sydney

Sydney practises commercial and corporate law, with a particular focus on technology, media and food-based projects and their intersections with intellectual property (IP).

Sydney assists clients with drafting and revising contractual agreements, licensing agreements and policy documents. She also helps with registering and maintaining IP portfolios, as well as navigating trademark and copyright legislation. In addition, Sydney advises clients with respect to corporate transactions, performing diligence, and drafting documents pertaining to IP, information technology, privacy, cybersecurity, data security and anti-spam legislation.

Sydney is passionate about using legal tools to create frameworks that are just, creative and responsive to the particular needs of her clients. Her diverse background in media and gender studies, criminal justice reform, and food entrepreneurship informs her practice in both her understanding and awareness of myriad contemporary issues, as well as her capacity to navigate complex projects.

Sydney is fluent in both English and French.

Professional Activities

Sydney is active in her local community and shares her knowledge and skills, both legal and otherwise, with several not-for-profits in Montréal.

Sydney is a member of the board of the Jewish Public Library and the Montreal Restaurant Workers Relief Fund. She is a co-founder and member of the Board of The Wandering Chew.
