Mergers & Acquisitions

  • A major energy company on the sale of its interest in significant oil sands and shale gas assets to a leading Canadian natural resources company for US$6.5-billion

  • A royalty company on its C$140-million acquisition of a gross overriding royalty encumbering petroleum and natural gas lands

  • A leading provider of drilling and well services on its approximately C$127-million acquisition of an energy services company

Project Development, Joint Ventures & Financings

  • A government-backed investment fund in connection with a landmark carbon credit offtake agreement and C$200-million strategic investment in a carbon capture and emissions reduction company

  • A government-backed investment fund in connection with multiple carbon credit offtake agreements with counterparties in the Canadian carbon capture and clean technology sector

  • Two international energy companies in connection with a C$14-billion offshore oil development project in Atlantic Canada

  • Four international integrated oil and gas companies on the harmonization of working interests adjacent to a major offshore oil development

Private Equity Transactions

  • A technology company in connection with a strategic investment by a private equity firm

  • A US-based private equity firm on its cross-border acquisition of a leading North American pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organization

  • Court-appointed Monitor in the CCAA sale of a Canadian home equipment lease portfolio to a home equipment lessor backed by a mid-market infrastructure investment firm
